{"id":1825,"date":"2011-01-29T08:47:34","date_gmt":"2011-01-29T13:47:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wilktone.com\/?p=1825"},"modified":"2023-03-27T10:35:54","modified_gmt":"2023-03-27T14:35:54","slug":"how-important-is-soundtrack-music","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilktone.com\/?p=1825","title":{"rendered":"How Important Is Soundtrack Music?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s a busy time for me just now, so I&#8217;m afraid updates will be a little longer between for a bit. &nbsp;At any rate, here&#8217;s something interesting I just saw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"390\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RKtbKM7Nvu0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s a good demonstration of just how powerful an effect the music has on our perception of the action in a film or video project. &nbsp;I&#8217;ve done something similar a few times with students by recording someone walking down a hallway and dubbing in different music &nbsp;for the that exact same scene. &nbsp;As the music changes, so does the feel you get of the person walking. &nbsp;In the above video, the change in music makes the happy <em>Sound of Music<\/em> turn into a dark and terrifying drama.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s a busy time for me just now, so I&#8217;m afraid updates will be a little longer between for a bit. &nbsp;At any rate, here&#8217;s something interesting I just saw.
